More complete informations about this job opportunity kindly see the descriptions. Wisconsin Resource Center is a secure treatment center for men and women located on the shores of Lake Winnebago. We are seeking psychiatrists (and/or unique family practitioners or internists who want to focus primarily on the psychosocial aspects of holistic care) to practice in evaluation and treatment for our patients whose behaviors present a serious problem for themselves and others.
This position is located at the Department of Health Services (DHS); Division of Care and Treatment Services (DCTS); Wisconsin Resource Center (WRC) in Oshkosh, WI.
Our multidisciplinary staff fosters a feeling of traditional private practice in an institutional setting. WRC is affiliated with the Medical College of Wisconsin (residency rotations, etc.) and with liaison support from community hospitals and the University of Wisconsin hospitals and clinics (Madison).

Position Summary :
Psychiatrists are responsible for the diagnosis and clinical treatment of patients at Wisconsin Resource Center. They provide care to patients in a care and treatment correctional institutional setting which adhere to the American Medical Association Standards of Care following the AMA Medical Code of Ethics, Wisconsin Administrative Code, Mental Health act statutes, Department and Division policies and are consistent with the National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC) Standards. The Psychiatrist collaborates with the Mu ltidisciplinary Team in development of individual Treatment Learning Plans

Due to the nature of the position, all applicants who may be appointed will be required to allow DHS to conduct a security background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.
Qualifications :
This position requires:
License to practice medicine in the State of Wisconsin or ability to obtain the license prior to the appointment.
Candidate must be Board Certified or Board Eligible as defined by the ABPN (American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc.)
Candidate must have completed an approved residency in psychiatry, family practice, or internal medicine.

Well qualified candidates will have:
Abil ity to work effectively with a multi-disciplinary team.
Experience providing court testimony.
