Description: UW Health is presently looking of NP/PA - Urgent Care right now, this occupation will be designated in Wisconsin. As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role with our ambulatory Urgent Care department by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to:
Function as an independent health care provider working collaboratively with a variety of other providers, including family practitioners, internists, pediatricians and other NP/PAâs.
Provide comprehensive medical care to patients in an urgent care setting.
Provide medical care for acute or chronic illnesses or injuries.
Monitor lab and imaging results and provide follow-up inquires by telephone regarding test results.
Provide electronic medical care utilizing eVisit and Telehealth platforms.
Education :
Minimum â"
If Nurse Practitioner : Masterâs or Doctorateâs degree from accredited Nursing Program.
If Physician Assistant: Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree from accredited PA Program.
Work Experience :
Preferred - Two (2) years urgent care experience.
Licenses and Certifications :
Minimum â"
If Physician Assistant : Active PA board certification AND active PA license in State of Wisconsin
If Nurse Practitioner : Active RN and APNP license in State of Wisconsin AND active board certification as an NP in Adult; Adult/Gerontology Acute Care; Adult/Gerontology Primary Care; Emergency; or Family.
All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have : Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire. CPR and ACLS certifications required.
Physical Requirements :
Medium: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
W ork Schedule :
Days and hours are to be determined based on coverage needed within our urgent care clinics. Various shifts between 8:00 am -8:00 pm on weekdays and 8:00 am - 5:00 pm on weekends/holidays.
