The Essentia Primary Care Physician works as a leader of a Care Team. Utilizing Essentia Care Processes, the physician works collaboratively with other health care team members to achieve patient care objectives and to provide continuity of care for patients and families.
Ashland , Wisconsin is a progressive small town (pop 9,000) located on the ! beautiful South shore of Lake Superior . Our patient base of a! pproximately 40,000 patients covers NW Wisconsin and the border of Eastern upper Michigan . Patient demand is strong, and the clinic is growing and in search of Internists and Family Practice physicians to join a group of 26 providers (Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, GYN, Surgery, Pediatrics, Neurology, Radiology, Oncology, Orthopedics, Podiatry and strong specialty outreach from Duluth based departments. )
PRACTICE SPECIFICS
- Internal Medicine Call: 1 in 7 weekdays, 1 in 8 weekends. Partner with FM Department
- Clinic is adjoining Memorial Medical Center , a modern CAH, with 24/7 ER coverage
- Nurse Triage 24/7
- Onsite Cancer Center, Regional Heart Center.
- Clinic of 26 providers including internal medicine, family medicine, gynecology, ortho, podiatry, surgery, pediatrics, oncology, neurology, radiology; plus outreach specialty support
- Chronic disease management nursing on site with care coordina! tion specialists
- PACS radiology and a high complexity in-house laboratory help provide state-of-the-art care
REQUIREMENTS
· BC/BE Internal Medicine, BC/BE in Pediatrics for IM/Peds
LOCATION
· 70 miles east of Duluth, MN; 200 miles northeast of Minneapolis/St. Paul; 300 miles northeast of Madison
· Ashland population: 9,000, regional service area, 64,000
SALARY AND BENEFIT PACKAGE
